Walk To Defeat MND Canberra 2026

Paul and I are walking this Sunday, the 19th, in Canberra to defeat motor neurone disease! We are doing this for my Dad, Ray, my best friend, Lori’s, Mom (Willie Stiles), and Donald Belt (my beloved friend from high school). Ray suffered for just over 4 months with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) in Delaware in the US. ALS is the main form of MND (Motor Neuron Disease) but there are other subtypes. Mrs Stiles suffered longer and Donald lasted 4 years leaving his two young adult daughters and sister behind. Such a terrible disease.

Support my walk to help people living with MND

I am taking part in Walk to Defeat MND to support people facing motor neurone disease.

Right now, there are over 600 people in NSW living with MND, with many requiring high levels of support and assistance.

My goal is to raise funds to help MND NSW provide the best possible support for people living with MND and their families – including assistive equipment, support groups, education about MND and more.

Well done Paul & Chris. Such an awful disease indeed. I know how devasted Chris & you were losing Ray to it. My beautiful neighbour of 20 years, Hugh, was diagnosed with MND too and died 5 months later. He'd just turned 70.
