Support my walk in Memory of my beautiful Mum

Earlier this year, we lost our beautiful mum to Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

Mum was our light, our protector, our everything. If you ever had the privilege of meeting her, you would know the kind of person she was. She always put everyone else first, always stayed positive and was always laughing and smiling. She had a heart of gold and a way of bringing happiness to everyone around her.

What our family went through was, without a doubt, the toughest experience of our lives. Watching Mum slowly lose the ability to talk, walk and do the simplest things we often take for granted, like eating, was absolutely heartbreaking. We loved her so much and would have done anything in the world to stop her from having to go through what she did.

I think about her every single day. The reason our family is so close is because of her. She was the heart of our family, and although she is no longer physically with us, the love she gave us and the values she taught us will stay with us forever.

If there is one thing I can do in Mum's memory, it is to help raise awareness of this devastating disease and support the hope that one day, no other family has to experience what ours did.

We miss you more than words could ever explain.
