Support my walk to help people living with MND

I am taking part in Walk to Defeat MND to support people facing motor neurone disease.

Right now, there are over 500 people in NSW living with MND, with many requiring high levels of support and assistance. My Uncle Eric lost his battle with this insidious disease last year. A brilliant man taken way too soon! 

My goal is to raise funds to help MND NSW provide the best possible support for people living with MND and their families – including assistive equipment, support groups, education about MND and more.

Eric, such a brilliant man,

Adored by all whom he knew

Eric was such a pillar of strength

A man of many wise words too

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, Eric would say

To not take anything for granted,

to make the most of every single day

Be true to yourself and just be happy, he said

Words I’ll treasure forever

Words that showed how much he cared

In all that he had faced

He still managed to make us laugh

With sneaky jokes and funny tales

He didn’t do things by half

A family man, a humble man

A handy man

An incredible talented and resourceful man

A protector and guider to all whom he loved

And now an angel to watch over us all from above
