Pool to Pavement - Support our walk to help people living with MND
Merrylands Amateur Swimming Club warmly invites all friends, families and supporters of our swimming community to join us in the 'Walk to Defeat MND', as we raise awareness and funds for those affected by Motor Neurone Disease.
Right now, there are over 500 people in NSW living with MND, with many requiring high levels of support and assistance.
We are proudly walking in honour of one of our very own - Peter Johnston - a beloved life member, head coach and wizard behind the race tent and computer handling the day to day club operations. Peter continues to inspire us with his strength, passion and unwavering commitment to teaching resilience both in and out of the pool.
Our goal is to raise funds to help MND NSW provide the best possible support for people living with MND and their families – including assistive equipment, support groups, education about MND and more.
But we need your help, and you can this a few ways!
'JOIN A WALK' -Register yourself (and family/friends) for the Sydney fundraising walk on 2/11/25 and join our 'Make a splash for MND' team.
OR
‘DONATE’ - to make a donation and together we can help the people and families experiencing this devastating disease.
